KATHMANDU, June 18: Nepal records 2,444 new cases, 3,853 recoveries and 42 deaths on Monday.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 6,648 PCR tests and 4,992 antigen tests were conducted on Monday. Of them, 2,444 tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 668,221 including 588,187 recoveries and 9,051 deaths.

There are currently 35,075 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 2,875 in institutional isolation, 675 in ICUs and 193 on ventilators.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded 516 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Of them, 355 were detected in Kathmandu, 49 in Bhaktapur and 112 in Lalitpur districts.
