KATHMANDU, June 16: Nepal recorded 2,828 new cases of COVID-19 along with 3,082 recoveries and 52 deaths on Wednesday.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 8,687 PCR tests and 4,335 antigen tests were conducted on Wednesday. Of them, 2,828 tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 637,433 including 543,521 recoveries and 8,558 deaths.

There are currently 57,826 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 4,311 in institutional isolation, 902 in ICUs and 279 on ventilators.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded 499 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Of them, 345 were detected in Kathmandu, 79 in Bhaktapur and 66 in Lalitpur districts.
