Nepal records 1486 new cases, 1260 recoveries and 16 deaths on Monday

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Of 16,539 tests for COVID-19 conducted on Monday, 1486 tests turned out to be positive, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, Sept 13: Of 16,539 tests for COVID-19 conducted on Monday, 1486 tests turned out to be positive, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


According to the MoHP, Nepal recorded 1,486 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday along with 1,260 recoveries and 16 deaths.

There are currently 26,630 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 24,958 are in home isolation, 1,627 in institutional isolation, 475 in ICUs, 262 in quarantine and 134 on ventilators. The total number of active cases in  Kathmandu valley is 3458. 


Out of 16,539 tests, 12,532 tests were carried out using PCR methods while 4,007 were carried out using antigen tests.
