KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Nepal recorded 1,157 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday along with 1,113 recoveries and eight deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 14,541 tests were conducted on Wednesday. Of them, 892 PCR and 235 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 18,646 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 16,878 are in home isolation, 1,315 in institutional isolation, 354 in ICUs and 99 on ventilators. Similarly, 244 people are currently in quarantine facilities.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 335 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 265 were recorded in Kathmandu, 28 in Bhaktapur and 42 in Lalitpur districts.
