KATHMANDU, Oct 21: Nepal recorded 545 new cases of COVID-19 along with 726 recoveries and eight deaths on Thursday.
As many as 8,549 COVID-19 tests - 6,586 PCR tests and 1,963 antigen tests - were conducted on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 214 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 147 were recorded in Kathmandu, 16 in Bhaktapur and 51 in Lalitpur districts.
Similarly, the total vaccine doses administered in the country is 15,081,658. Among the total population of 30,378,055, as much as 28.2 percent have been administered the first dose while 21.4 percent have been given both doses.
