KATHMANDU, Oct 6: Nepal recorded 1,043 new cases of COVID-19 along with 891 recoveries and six deaths on Wednesday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population.
As many as 15,465 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Wednesday. Of them, 891 PCR tests and 194 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 16,647 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 14,975 are in home isolation, 1,219 in institutional isolation, 338 in ICUs and 115 on ventilators. Similarly, 437 people are currently in quarantine facilities.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 440 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 344 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 35 in Bhaktapur and 61 in Lalitpur districts.
