KATHMANDU, June 17: The National Investigation Department (NID), the government’s intelligence arm, has unveiled its plans to recruit new personnel. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 71 vacancies, offering positions at both officer and assistant levels. The NID is seeking to hire 30 Investigation Officers and 41 Investigation Assistance.
Individuals aspiring to join the Nepal Special Service under the gazetted 3rd and 2nd categories are required to participate in an examination conducted by the Public Service Commission.
NRB announces vacancies for 67 positions
For officer positions, candidates must possess a minimum educational qualification of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Those who have obtained their educational qualification through a grading system must have attained a grade point of 'GPA 2' or higher. The age criteria for applicants are set between 21 and 25 years.
Regarding Investigation Assistant positions, candidates must have completed at least 12 years of education, equivalent to the 12th standard, and obtained a grade point of 'GPA 2' or above. The notice, issued on Saturday specifies that candidates must be at least 18 years old but not exceed 25 years.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications by visiting the official website of the National Investigation Department. The notice emphasizes that after completing the online application forms, candidates can print their admit cards for the examination upon acceptance. The application fee for Investigation Officer positions is set at Rs 1,000, while Rs 300 has been set for the application of Research Assistant position.
