UDAYAPUR, Feb 10: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati has assured to forward the construction of the proposed Sagarmatha Airport in Udayapur's Jogidaha immediately.

Following the inspection of the proposed site on Friday, Minister Kirati reiterated that the ministry will proceed with the process at the earliest.
"A total of Rs 50 million has been allocated for the construction of the airport," he shared. Stating that the proposed airport at Jogidaha in Udayapur would be important for the promotion of tourism in Koshi Province, the minister viewed that the airport would play an important role in attracting tourists from India and Bhutan to visit Sagarmatha zone and to promoting tourism to Haleshi Mahadev.
