The Cabinet meeting on Monday dismissed Ghising from his post in the state-owned power utility. Following his dismissal, opposition parties have obstructed Parliament, leading to a deadlock in the session.

They stated that they would lift the obstruction in Parliament only after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli provides a satisfactory response on the matter. The government side proposed that the concerned minister and Deputy Prime Minister respond on behalf of the government.

However, opposition parties continued to obstruct Parliament, demanding that the Prime Minister respond. After the meeting, CPN-UML's chief whip, Mahesh Bartaula, informed the media that they had reached an agreement for the Prime Minister to respond in the House of Representatives meeting on March 31.
