KATHMANDU, March 28: Mayako Pahichan Nepal has registered a complaint against medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai at the Cyber Bureau of Nepal police.
Prasai is accused of spreading misinformation and hateful expressions against the LGBTQI community. The complaint claims that he propagated false information regarding same-sex marriage and disrespected the legal recognition of this community.

The organization working for the cause of LGBTQI has demanded an investigation into Prasai's statements, legal action and measures to prevent the spread of misinformation. The complaint states that his expression violates the Cyber Crime Act, based on the Supreme Court’s recognition of the legal registration of same-sex marriage in 2023.
