Pushpa Raj Purush, the president of Nepal Sanatan Dharma Sanskriti Sangathan, addressed the protest, stating that it is inappropriate for the incumbent minister to attend a community event and criticize other communities while making insulting remarks about one specific community. He called for the immediate dismissal of the minister's statement, asserting that Kirati is unfit for the ministerial position and has contributed to disrupting social harmony.
Purush emphasized the need to halt the appointment of non-religious individuals in the religious sector, urging that recruitment centers for religious sector party workers should not be established.
A controversy surrounds the appointment of Lakshmi Pun as the Executive Director of Pashupati Area Development Trust. The decision was made during a meeting of the Pashupati Area Development Governing Council, chaired by Minister Sudan Kiranti, further fueling the dissatisfaction among protesters.
