KATHMANDU, Feb 8: Tilak Prasad Dhital, Chief Financial Officer of MeroSiksha, a digital learning platform, has received this year's Global Student Entrepreneur Award Nepal.
Navin Timilsina, Founder and CEO of Master Sab, was the runner-up along with him, while Arjun Ghimire, the Founder of Dlupload and Co-founder of College Tiffin, won the first runner-up title. Winner Dhital received Rs 200,000, runner up Timilsina Rs 50,000 and first runner up Ghimire got Rs 25,000.
CFO severs association with German donors
A special program was held in the capital on Monday to announce the awards. The panel of judges for the finals included Ayush Nepal, an entrepreneur and current President of the Entrepreneur Organization, Yazma Rajbhandary, CEO and Principal Architect at Kalap Architects Pvt. Ltd, and Moushumi Shrestha, Honorary Consul General of Sweden in Nepal and Executive Director at Shreenagar Agro Group.
The program brought together 14 student entrepreneurs from all over Nepal and the best six students made it to the finals after a tough competition. The top six finalists representing the future of business in Nepal were Anjana Malla, Co-founder & CEO of Deego Nepal, Tilak Prasad Dhital, Chief Financial Officer of MeroSiksha, Pralisha Adhikari, Founder of Towerganics Nepal, Bibek Dhakal, Co-Founder and CEO of College Tiffin, Navin Timilsena, Founder and CEO of Master Sab, and Arjun Ghimire, Founder of Dlupload and Co-founder of College Tiffin.
The national winners will advance to India for the regional finals. Tarun Pratap Shah, Chairperson for GSEA 2023-24 and Managing Director of DV Group of Companies, said that they can participate in the competition for the opportunity to represent Nepal at the world level. The winner of the final competition will receive $50,000 in cash as prize.
