KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Nepal's Candidate Master Keshab Shrestha faced third consecutive defeat on Sunday in the Asian Continental Chess Championship being held in UAE.

Keshab, who was undefeated until the fourth round, faced three defeats in a row. On Sunday, Keshab rated 2118 faced defeat at the hands of Iranian IM Asgarizadeh Ahmad rated 2417. Keshab, who has earned two points so far, gave up in the 32nd move.
Keshab will take on Lebanon's FM in the eighth round.
