KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Former ambassador to France, Keshab Jha, 80,has been found dead at his own residence in Babarmahal.
SSP Basanta Lama, chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, said that it probably was a murder and initial ivestigations suggest so: his house's door was locked from the outside. "In addition, there is a deep cut on his head and forehead," Lama said.
Envoy Jha murder remains mystery three months on
Jha was staying with his wife and a house worker. The couple used to sleep in separate rooms. When the wife went to wake him up in the morning, he didn't wake up for long. When she reached to give him a shake, he was dead.
The wife immediately informed the police about the incident and the latter are investigating the case.
Preparations are being made to take his body to the Maharajgung-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) for post mortem.
