KATHMANDU, Sept 27: The government has stopped supplying fuel to seven petrol pumps for their involvement in black-marketeering taking advantage of the fuel shortage in the Kathmandu Valley.
The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has directed the Department of Commerce, Supply and Protection of Consumers to halt fuel supplies to seven petrol pumps of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur districts.
“Stop providing fuel to the seven petrol pumps as they were found creating artificial shortage of fuel taking advantage of fuel crunch in the market after the petrol tankers went on a strike,” reads the letter sent by Under Secretary Urmila KC to the department.
Petrol pumps barred from receiving fuel are:
Khadka Oil Suppliers, Bansbari, Kathmandu

Rajdhani Petrol Pump, Gopikrishna, Chabahil
Everest Fuel Distributor, Chabahil,
Baral Oil Stores, Jorpati
Trilochan Enterprises, Maharajgunj
Akash Jogini Petrol Pump, Samakhusi
Ganesh Petrol Pump, Bhaktapur
