Gold, silver prices remain stagnant

KATHMANDU, Jan 22: The price of gold remained stagnant in the domestic market on Monday. 


Fine gold is being traded at Rs 118,400 per tola today. Compared to Friday, the price of gold increased by Rs 400 per tola on Sunday. The precious yellow metal was sold at Rs 118,000 per tola on Friday.

The price of silver has also remained stable at Rs 1,390 per tola on Monday. Silver rose by Rs 5 to become Rs 1,395 on Friday. Its value decreased by Rs 5 per tola to become Rs 1,390 per tola on Sunday. Before that, silver was traded at Rs 1,400 last Wednesday.


The trading price of gold and silver in the international market has decreased slightly compared to the previous day. Gold is trading at $2023.02 per ounce on Monday. It was trading at $2029.63 per ounce on Sunday after going up by $6.04 per ounce.


Similarly, silver has decreased from $22.61 to $22.33 per ounce.
