First casualty in third wave of COVID-19 in Parsa

BIRGUNJ, Jan 22: Parsa has recorded its first casualty in the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic. An infected man has died at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj. The deceased has been identified as a 50-year-old resident of Mahagadhimai Municipality-6 of Bara, according to hospital sources.

BIRGUNJ, Jan 22: Parsa has recorded its first casualty in the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic. An infected man has died at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj. The deceased has been identified as a 50-year-old resident of Mahagadhimai Municipality-6 of Bara, according to hospital sources.


The infected man was rushed to a private hospital in Birgunj for treatment. The antigen test report on January 20 gave a positive result, after he was tested following symptoms of infection.

After the corona infection was confirmed, the private hospital referred the infected person to Narayani Hospital for treatment. Dr. Uday Narayan Singh, COVID-19 coordinator of Narayani Hospital, said that he died while undergoing treatment for COVID-19, diabetes and pneumonia. The man had not been vaccinated against COVID-19.
