Elderly people of Gulmi denied social security allowance for six months

SOLUKHUMBU, March 30: Traffic in the Tingla Khanda section under the Solu-Okhaldhunga road in Solukhmbhu district has resumed from today morning after remaining disrupted for six days. 


The locals of the then Tingla VDC had been protesting the annexation of Tingla into Nechasalyan Rural Municipality against their demand to do so with Solu Dudhkunda Municipality.

The irate locals had piled stones and trees on the road to obstruct the road. They agreed to allow the resumption of traffic as the District Administration Office, Solukhumbu came to a consensus to relay their demand to the Center, according to Bal Kumari Karki, chair of a committee formed at the local-level to pile pressure on the authorities concerned to respond to the voice of Tingla folks,. 


Vehicles have started plying the road since the resumption of traffic in the disrupted road, Karki said. RSS
