Sukriti Shrestha of Rupandehi and Anju Suwal of Prabhat School finished joint third.Similarly, Shyantu beat Ritiz Joshi of AVM 7-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-8 in the final of boys' U-16 section. Ghanashyam Sharma of UCPS and Ashish Sharma jointly finished third.
Meanwhile, men's national champion Deep Saun will face Krishna Thapa Magar of Tribhuvan Army Club and Rajendra Kapali of Army will play against Chandan Shahi of APF in the semifinals of men's singles as they won their respective matches.
Deep secured a place in the semifinals defeating Navin Kumar Singh of Galaxy Public School 12-10, 11-7, 11-7. In other quarterfinal matches, Krishna registered a hard-fought win over his army club mate Nihal Shrestha, scoring 11-7, 11-6, 10-12, 11-4, 7-11, 11-6 in the best-of-seven-set thriller, while, Rajendra thrashed Jackey Maharjan of Lalitpur 11-7, 11-5, 11-2, 11-8 in straight sets and Chandan saw off Shantu 11-7, 11-6, 8-11, 11-4, 11-8.
In the women's quarterfinals, Alina Maharjan of Nepal Police Club beat Anita Maharjan 12-10, 12-10, 11-8, 11-6; Diksha of AVM was pushed to her limits in her 8-11, 11-5, 11-6, 7-11, 11-9, 11-13, 11-7 win over Norden Tamang of Kathmandu; Erika Maharjan of Police edged past Anita Adhikari of APF and Sukriti of Rupandehi saw off Selisha Khadgi of APF 11-9, 11-6, 5-11, 11-7, 11-3.
In the women's singles semifinals, Alina will play against Diksha and Erika will meet Sukriti.
