Nepali table tennis team leave for India

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: A thirteen-member Nepali team with nine tennis players has left for Gujarat, India on Saturday to participate in the Sixth Asian School Table Tennis Championship.

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: A thirteen-member Nepali team including nine players have left for Gujarat, India on Saturday to participate in the Sixth Asian School Table Tennis Championship.


Six boys and three girls will represent Nepal in the competition which will be held from August 13 to 21.

The team is headed by Bishal Khadka while Purushottam Bajchracharya, Sikka Suwal Shrestha and Alex Maharjan are the coaching staff.


Nepal School Sports Federation (NSSF) took initiative for participation.


NSSF President Binod Shrestha, National Sports Council member Sudil Shahi and General Secretary of NSSF Rajkumar Karki were present at Tribhuvan International Airport to see off the team.
