Three arrested with drugs in Bara and Chitwan

Police arrested three individuals in separate incidents for possessing illegal drugs. Police said the suspects were taken into custody on Tuesday, and further investigation is underway.

KATHMANDU, March 11: Police have arrested three individuals in separate incidents for possessing illegal drugs.



According to the Central Police News Room, a police patrol team arrested two individuals with 12.23 kilograms of marijuana from Ratnapur, Nijgadh Municipality–11 in Bara.

The arrested individuals have been identified as 35-year-old Firoz Dewan of Inarwa, Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolitan City–19 and 19-year-old Tarbez Alam of Gaur Municipality–9.


In another incident, police arrested 29-year-old Som Pandey of Bharatpur Metropolitan City–23 with 220 vials of Tramadol, a medicine that can only be purchased with a doctor’s prescription. He was arrested in Lahurechok, Bharatpur–18.


Police said the suspects were taken into custody on Tuesday, and further investigation is underway.
