JANAKPUR, Oct 3: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population Upendra Yadav on Wednesday underscored the need for all to focus on pursuing prosperity by creating employment opportunities in the country.
"It is a matter of worry to beg to the international society for assistance in the name of poverty and unemployment. The mindset of dependency should be wiped out," he said at a program here on the occasion of the first gathering of the Socialist Democratic Trade Union Federation of Province 2.
Heart to Heart with Malvika
Identifying poverty, unemployment and helplessness as challenges to people's rights to equality and prosperity, he pointed out economic and industrial development, education, health, irrigation and modernization of agriculture as integral parts for social justice and prosperity.
Minister Yadav, also Chairperson of the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, viewed that constitutional amendment is a key to ending discrimination against Madhesi people. RSS
