BHAKTAPUR, Aug 30: A person suffering from COVID-19 and being treated at home-isolation in the district died on Saturday night. He died at his own house in Dhudhpati of Bhaktapur Municipality-1.
The 65-year-old man, who was also suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure, died suddenly, according to the District Health Office, Bhaktapur chief Krishna Bahadur Mijar.

As the man was suspected to have contracted COVID-19, a PCR test was conducted on him on August 27 which confirmed the infection in him. He had been kept in home-isolation after his family’s wish.
Ward chair Shyam Krishna Khatri shared that the family of the deceased insisted that he be kept at home under their direct care for the patient was unable to feed himself.
Nepal Army is to manage the dead body today itself. Bhaktapur has recorded seven COVID-19 fatalities so far- four females and three males.
