KATHMANDU, July 13: National Sports Council (NSC) Member Secretary Keshav Kumar Bista on Monday promised to sort out contract-related issues within the sports body within a year.
Bista made such a commitment during a program organized by the Employees Association of National Sports Council (NSCEA) at the NSC premises on Monday to welcome the member secretary.

Stating that the problems of contract employees would be solved systematically, Bista said that he was aware of the NSC employees' problems. He also claimed that he has already recommended to the concerned body to start the promotion process of employees who have held the same positions for the last 10 years.
Urging the employees to work honestly, he said he would set up provisions of reward and punishment to foster better work culture. At the program, NSCEA President Ranjan Kumar Thapa shed light on the problems of NSC employees.
