CHITWAN, March 30: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the problem of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium, which is under construction in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-15 in Chitwan, will be solved within weeks.

Speaking at a ceremony held for laying the foundation stone of the new terminal building of Bharatpur Airport on Thursday, Prime Minister Dahal said that the current problems will be resolved and the construction work will go ahead within a week or two. He said that the work of the stadium, which has been halted for almost one and a half years due to lack of funds, will proceed soon.


The Dhurmus Suntali Foundation had started the construction of the stadium by borrowing Rs 180 million. The foundation has written a letter to the Bharatpur Metropolitan City to take the ownership and responsibility of the stadium, but the metropolis is yet to take a final decision .
