DHANGADI, Oct 30: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has launched investigation into the irregularities in the recruitment of police constables.

A three-member team led by Joint Secretary Ram Kumar Acharya sent by the CIAA for investigation seized all paper works related to the recruitment process from the Regional Police Office Dipayal.

"They took away all files related to the recruitment process, physical tests, medical check-ups, written exams and oral exams," a police source said.

Officers involved in the recruitment of constables have been accused of accepting anything between Rs 25,000 to 150,000 as bribes from candidates.
