KATHMANDU, May 14: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Monday raided Tribhuvan University (TU) and seized the documents related to recruitment following media reports that top university officials had recruited their relatives as university staffers.
A corruption complaint was filed at the CIAA, demanding an investigation into the accused officials on the charge of promoting nepotism in the country's oldest university. A day after the complaint was filed, a team of investigators from the anti-graft body raided TU and seized the documents related to the university's staffer recruitment process.
