KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Monday has held four police constables Devendra Balayar, Aakash Khanal, Niraj Bhandari and Hitler Saud in custody for allegedly receiving bribes from service-seekers.
According to a press statement released by the anti-graft body, acting on a tip-off, the CIAA team has arrested them after having received a bribe amount as equal as one hundred thousand from service-seekers to certify police reports related to accidents illegally.

During an investigation, as it has been found that constables trio Devendra Bahadur Balayar, Hitler Saud and Lokendra Thapa have collectively received bribe amount for verifying the police reports illicitly, the anti-graft body filed a charge-sheet against them at Special Court, Kathmandu, the press statement reads.
However, other arrestees duo Aakash Khanal and Niraj Bhandari were not found guilty in the act. They will be presented at the court as the witness, according to the anti-graft body.
