Chhota Rajan Group claims Shah's murder

KATHMANDU, Feb 8: The Chhota Rajan Group claimed the responsibility for the murder of Jamim Shah, according to Avenues Television.



A person who gave his name as Bharat Nepali called the television station and owned up the murder. Nepali reportedly told the station that Shah was murdered for his ‘anti-Indian activities’.



The group had also owned up the responsibility of murder of former minister Mirza Dilsad Beg earlier.



Meanwhile, RSS reported that Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said that he has already directed the concerned body to probe the killing of Space Times chairman Jamim Shah and bring the culprits to the book.



Talking to journalists after attending the Nepal Industrial Development Corporation´s programme here on Monday, he informed this.



"I have already directed the home secretary for an investigation into the killing of Shah and to identify an arrest calling him on Sunday", he said.



"The incident is extremely sad and condemnable", said the PM, adding, such incidents would encourage criminals.



He also promised to strengthen the security to control such activities in future.
