RASUWA, August 8: The redesign of the Integrated Check Post (ICP) under construction at Rasuwagadhi, a trade gateway with China, has missed its deadline. Yogendra Tumbahangphe, Project Manager of Shyam Sundar Rabina JV Construction, said that 55 percent of the work has been completed so far but the redesign is not ready yet.
RASUWA, April 8: For the first time in the recent history, hotels operating on the Gosainkunda trail have agreed to set a fixed rate for their services. The rates have been fixed for hotels, lodges and tea shops operating in the park and intermediate areas at the initiative of Langtang National Park.
RASUWA, Feb 27: A total of 32 bridges will be constructed along the Galchhi-Syafru road section connecting Rasuwagadhi, an international trade gateway with China. The bridges will be completed within a year and a half. Currently, work is underway to upgrade the road from Galchhi to Syafru through Mailung including bridge construction.
RASUWA, Dec 21: The upgradation of Syafru-Rasuwagadhi road section connecting Rasuwagadhi checkpoint has not started yet. The work has not seen any progress as the Nepali side has been delaying the process.
KATHMANDU, Dec 9: A girl has been killed after being abducted in Rasuwa. Sumina Tamang, a 6-year-old girl of Phailigang in Kalika Rural Municipality- 1 of the district, was killed after being abducted. She was attending Grang Primary School and had gone missing since Sunday after she left for school.
RASUWA, July 10: Heavy rain and landslides have brought vehicular movement at Rasuwagadhi to a standstill. Landslides at Kulung and Tatopani following heavy downpour in the last few days have damaged the Syafru–Rasuwagadhi section of the highway.
RASUWA, June 25: The Rasuwagadhi Bridge where transportation had been halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic will come back into operation within this week. As agreed during the meeting between the border security committees of the two countries on Wednesday, the bridge will come into operation following a few conditions set by the two sides.
RASUWA, April 14: The nationwide lockdown has affected the construction works at Chilime Trishuli 220 KV transmission line due to the lack of workers and construction materials. The project had not been able to import construction materials after the outbreak of the coronavirus in China.
