RASUWA, July 27: Nepal’s key trade route to its northern neighbor China has resumed after a five-day blockage was cleared earlier on Monday.

The road to Rasuwagadhi entry point had remained blocked since Thursday last week following landslides in the Kulung area.

Local police said that the Syafru-Rasuwagadhi road section has resumed and the containers, which remained struck along the road, have headed for Kathmandu.

The road to the entry point has been frequently disrupted in recent days due to incessant rainfall.
