RASUWA, July 27: A key trade route to China, the Syaphru-Rasuwagadhi road has been blocked for the past five days due to landslides and floods triggered by incessant rainfall.
Transportation on the Syaphru-Rasuwagadhi road that remains obstructed by landslides since Thursday has not come into operation yet.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Indra Prasad Subedi, a landslide in Kulung road section has obstructed the vehicular movement. “Local authorities are doing their best to bring the road into operation at the earliest.”
The downpour and landslides have not stopped yet which is posing a huge challenge in removing landslide debris from the road.
