PAANCHTHAR, Oct 15: The personal details of 46,000 people have been collected so far for the distribution of National Identity Cards (NIC) which will be a first in Nepal's history. The Home Ministry is planning to conduct the first level distribution of NICs within mid-November.

PANCHTHAR, July 11: A road accident at Chitre along the Mid-hills Highway on Monday killed one and injured nine people. The jeep, which met with the accident, was half immersed in the muddy road and is said to have veered off the road.
PAANCHTHAR, June 22: The government has started collecting the details of citizens for the distribution of digitalized National Identity Cards (NIC), for the first time in history. Digitalization of citizen's details is one of the most ambitious projects of the country.

PANCHTHAR, March 28: There were 49 pillars until recently at the Indo-Nepal border from Pokhari to Falot area of Panchthar district. After a detailed inspection, two teams of the District Police Office realized that eight of the pillars were missing. Their report states that there are only 41 pillars separating our border with India.
