Army bags 8th consecutive win

KATHMANDU, March 11:  The departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club won its eighth consecutive match in the ongoing first Kwiks Men’s Basketball League defeating Himalayan Hounds 83-58 on Saturday.

KATHMANDU, March 11:  The departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club won its eighth consecutive match in the ongoing first Kwiks Men’s Basketball League defeating Himalayan Hounds 83-58 on Saturday.  At its court in Bhadrakali, Army won the first three quarters, but lost the last. It won the first quarter 20-10, second 25-15, 26-19 on third, while it lost 14-12 in the fourth. Sadeesh Pradhan scored the highest 33 for the winning team.  After the win, Army has accumulated 24 points from eight matches, while Hounds has 15 from 10 after winning five and losing five.  In the other match played on the same day, Golden Gate International College beat Xavier International College 75-59 in its own court.  Golden Gate won the first quarter 19-11, while it kept its momentum going in the second with a 22-17 win. But, it lost the third quarter 11-17, but won the match overall. Golden Gate’s Manish Rajupadhyaya scored the highest 21 in the match. Kirtipur Basketball Team will take on South Siders on 

Sunday.
