KATHMANDU, June 8: Armed Police Force (APF) and New Diamond Academy are set to battle in the summit clash of the ongoing KNP National Women's Volleyball Tournament. 


To book their places in the final, defending champion APF and New Diamond overcame departmental rival Nepal Police Club (NPC) and Western Region respectively with the identical scoreline of 3-0.

In the first semifinal match played at Dasharath Stadium's covered hall, APF registered a 25-11, 25-20, 25-16 win over last edition's runner-up NPC. 


Similarly in the second semifinal match, New Diamond beat Western Region 25-22, 25-9, 25-14. 


The summit clash alongside third place play-off of the tournament being organized by Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial Foundation is slated for Friday. The champion of the tournament will take home Rs 150,000 while the runner-up will be rewarded with Rs 100,000. Likewise, the third place finisher will bag Rs 50,000.
