KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Although having suffered a humiliating loss to Kuwait in its first match of second-round qualifiers of FIFA World Cup, Nepal on Tuesday thrashed Chiese Taipei 2-0 in a match held at Taipei Athletic Stadium.
Both the goals were scored by Anjan Bista. He opened the scoring spree in the fifth minute on a free-kick by Sujal Shrestha. Bista again netted the ball in the 64th minute utilizing the cross by Sujal Shrestha.

In the FIFA World Ranking, Chinese Taipei is placed in 125th rank while Nepal is 41 steps down in 166th place.
With this win, Nepal garnered a total of three points. Nepal is pitted in the group that consists of Kuwait, Jordan, Australia and Chinese Taipei.
Nepal will take on Australia in another qualifier match which is scheduled to be played in Canberra, the Australian capital on October 10.
