An engineering delight with Yantra 2.0

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: ‘Yantra 2.0’, a robotics competition is being jointly organized by Karkhana and Robotics Association of Nepal, at Dasarath Stadium on Tuesday, October 1. With around 217 participants from many places of Nepal including Pokhara, Chitwan, Biratnagar and Syangja, 55 robots will be competing in the event. ‘Yantra 2.0’ is the first ever competition to include secondary and high school students in a platform that normally consists only of engineering students.



There will be three main events in the competition: ‘Mission Nepal’ where 14 teams will battle makeshift topographical challenges, ‘Robo Akhada’ where the audience can witness fights between robots, and ‘Robo Racer’ where 23 teams will race their own robotic creations.[break]



Apart from the competitions, visitors can also check many interesting items at the event, like 3D printer.



The tickets for the event, that starts at 10:30 in the morning, are priced at Rs 50 for students with ID cards and Rs 100 for others.
