KATHMANDU, April 17: Supreme Court officials on Monday found the Durga yantra which was thought to have been lost about 25 years ago. Durga yantra (a tantrik diagram) symbolizes justice and power.

"Our staffers found the Durga yantra on Monday while moving things from one place to another," Mahendra Nath Upadhyaya, registrar of the Supreme Court, told Republica.

The yantra made of iron has the devanagari letter shree inscribed at the center. The item was made during King Mahendra's reign and it adorned the top of the Supreme Court building at Ranipokhari.

Prakash Wasti, former judge of the Supreme Court and expert of legal history, however, says that the yantra was not actually lost but it had been kept at the store.
