5th PCC meeting of Bagmati Province concludes with 23 key decisions

The meeting decided to pass the Electricity Bill soon and to provide a budget for the reconstruction of disaster-hit areas to the National Coordination Council.

MAKWANPUR, Jan 18: The fifth meeting of the Provincial Coordination Council (PCC) of the Bagmati Province concluded on Friday making 23 different decisions. The two-day meeting was organized in Hetauda from January 16.


The meeting decided to pass the Electricity Bill soon and to provide a budget for the reconstruction of disaster-hit areas to the National Coordination Council.

Similarly, the meeting also decided to make special legal arrangements for reconstruction of heritages having archeological importance by amending the Public Procurement Act. In addition, the meeting decided to authorize the provincial government to issue climbing permits of mountains of 6,000-7,000 meters and to collect royalties. 


The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama, and was attended by ministers, people's representatives at the local levels, chiefs of district coordination committees, among others.
