KATHMANDU, March 5: Police have warned the public against spreading misleading rumors aimed at disrupting the elections.
Authorities said that on various social media platforms, old videos and security drill footage have been manipulated and circulated as false information to create confusion among voters. The police urged everyone not to share such content.

The police have confirmed that individuals spreading misleading information are being identified and investigated, and legal action will be taken against them. They also requested the public to verify content before sharing, liking, or commenting on photos and videos.
The Nepal Police appealed for cooperation to ensure the elections are conducted safely and securely.
