11 patients died in a day at COVID-19 Special Hospital in Butwal

BUTWAL, May 11: The number of COVID-19 infections in Butwal is increasing day by day. As many as 11 infected patients who were undergoing treatment at the COVID-19 Special Hospital in Butwal succumbed to the deadly virus in the past 24 hours.

BUTWAL, May 11: The number of COVID-19 infections in Butwal is increasing day by day. As many as 11 infected patients who were undergoing treatment at the COVID-19 Special Hospital in Butwal succumbed to the deadly virus in the past 24 hours. 


According to the hospital’s Information Officer Dr Bishnu Gautam, those dying include six residents of Rupandehi, three from Kapilvastu, and one each from Nawalparasi and Pyuthan.

As stated by Dr Gautam, a 42-year-old male from Butwal-11 died last night at 9:15. Another 42-year-old male from Sainamaina-3 died last night at 8. Similarly a 49-year-old male from Sainamaina passed away last night at 9. Also, a 36-year-old male from Butwal-11 died last night at 9.


Those dying of the disease also include a 30-year-old woman from Kanchan Rural Municipality of Rupandehi district who died last night at 2:50, while a 21-year-old female died at 9 AM.


According to the hospital’s administration, two 40-year-old males from Buddhabhumi Municipality of Kapilvastu died last night at 12:30 AM and 3:30 AM, respectively. Also, a 33-year-old male from the same municipality died last night at 11. 


Similarly, a 50-year-old male from Gaumukhi-7 of Pyuthan died at 4 AM and another male from Nawalparasi also died last night while undergoing treatment at the hospital, Dr Gautam said.
