BUTWAL, April 29: Three people died at the Corona Special Temporary Hospital in Butwal on Thursday. All the three died within half an hour, said the hospital's Information Officer Dr Bishnu Gautam. Two men and a woman died in the ICU of the Corona Special Treatment Hospital run by Lumbini Provincial Hospital.
A 31-year-old man from Butwal-11 died at 2:30 AM and a 66-year-old man from Butwal-14 died at 2:45 AM, according to the hospital. Similarly, a 72-year-old woman from Mayadevi-6 died while undergoing treatment at 3:00 in the morning, Gautam said.

Two of the deceased were admitted to the hospital on April 24, while the infected from Butwal-14 was admitted to the hospital on April 22. In Lumbini province alone, 129 people have died of COVID-19 so far.
The 15-bed ICU at Corona Special Hospital is already full. Seven beds of the fever clinic of the provincial hospital are also full of COVID-19 infected people. Even the general beds including ICU at Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa are full of infected people.
Due to the lack of beds in the hospitals, the infected people with serious symptoms have died without getting any treatment. The lack of oxygen along with the beds in the hospitals in the province has hit the infected in dire need of treatment hard.
WIth the additional three deaths, the death toll in Rupandehi has reached 184. According to the District Public Health Office, there are currently 2,212 active cases in the district. On Wednesday alone, 380 new infections were added in Rupandehi.
