Two, including one tested positive for COVID-19, die in Butwal Corona Hospital

BUTWAL, Aug 12: Two individuals undergoing treatment at Butwal Corona Hospital set up at a Fibre Industry in Butwal died on Wednesday night.

BUTWAL, Aug 12: Two individuals undergoing treatment at Butwal Corona Hospital set up at a Fibre Industry in Butwal died on Wednesday night.


According to the Information Office of Lumbini Provincial Hospital Butwal, Dr Bishnu Gautam, a 25-year old youth from Krishnanagar-12 in Kapilvastu district and a 42-year old man from Taulihawa died last night.

While one of the deceased has tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test result of another deceased is yet to be received.


The 42-year old man, who died of COVID-19, was admitted to the hospital on August 9. “He was being treated on a ventilator since the beginning,” said Gautam.


As many as 22 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment at Butwal Corona Hospital. Six of them are said to be in critical condition.
