CHANDRAUTA (Kapilvastu), Feb 15: Ten people have died in a road accident that took place near the Surahi Bridge in Shivaraj Municipality-1 of the district earlier today.
The accident took place when a passenger bus (Su-Pa-Pra-02-001 Ba 0098) operated by Sunaulo Mahakali Transport fell some 200 meters off the road on its way to Kathmandu from Mahendranagar at around 1 AM.

According to the Kapilvastu District Police Office, 10 people died on the spot in the accident. The identity of the deceased is not yet known.
Likewise, 30 others were injured in the accident. Nine of them have been rushed to Butwal for treatment, said Police Inspector Navaratna Paudel. The remaining others are undergoing treatment at local medical centers including the Sanjeevani Hospital.
