KAPILVASTU,July 5: Two people died in separate road accidents in Kapilvastu on Tuesday.
A scooter (Lu 44 Pa 3046) coming from Barohiya Pachehara inner road section collided with a motorcycle (Lu 26 Pa 7745) which was headed in the opposite direction. The motorcycle rider Hari Bikram Shah, 35, of Baanganga-4, Hariharpur, died in the accident.

According to the police, Shah who received head injuries died while undergoing treatment at the Medical College, Bhairahawa. The scooter driver, Paltan Chauhan, from Rupandehi, Siddharthanagar Municipality-6, was seriously injured.
Chauhan has received injuries in both his legs, both hands and head. His wife, Gita Chauhan, 48, who was riding pillion on the scooter was also injured, the authorities said. Both of them are being treated in Medical College, Bhairahawa.
Similarly, Krishna Khatri, 40, of Arghakhanchi Bhumikasthan-4 died when his bike collided with another bike coming from the opposite direction in Bangai Banganga Municipality-7. Khatri succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Butwal Provincial Hospital.
