The front on Friday had issued a press release calling to foil the tea reception to be organized by UML dubbing it as a strategy to dampen Madhesh protest.
UML District Secretary Ganga Khadka said the office was ablaze despite the tea reception function was called off.
UDMF cadres threw away furniture at the office to nearby river and then set it on fire. Later, they protested by burning tires.
