Tennis team leaving for Thailand today

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Nepali tennis team is leaving for Thailand to prepare for the 12th South Asian Games to be held in Guwahati and Shillong of India from February 5.

Eight players - four male and female each - will compete from Team Nepal in the SAG. However, only six players will leave for Bangkok on Wednesday since two players are abroad and will join the team in Thailand.Samrakshan Bhusan Bajracharya, Sri Ram Magar and Kamal Bhandari are the male players while Ganga Sharma, Bibhuti Karki and Bijisha Shrestha are the female player to leave for Bangkok. They will be joined by Avishek Bastola who is currently in America and Ira Rawat currently in Thailand. Renu Devi Konda, Shristhi Shrestha and Jeetendra Pariyar will accompony the team as coaches.
