The central committee will meet again on Sunday. "We have decided to hold general convention of our party by mid-Baisakh," said SP General Secretary Manish Suman, adding, "but, the date and venue for the event are still being discussed." [break]
The general convention will elect party chairman and 20 central members, among others. Other 20 central members are appointed by the chairman of the party. According to leaders, SP will finalize the issue of active membership by January 29.
Similarly, the party will hold the convention of village committees and municipality ward committees from February 17 to March 1.
Also, SP will hold convention of municipal committees on March 5. According to Suman, SP will hold convention to elect area committee members from March 21 to April 2.
