Floating in the space
Wandering the vast lanes
I was trying to find my place
Then you took me by these hands
Showed me all this dreamland
And as we built the house together
I adorned it with forever and ever[break]
And I prisoned myself delightfully
Just to wake up oh so frightfully
You were hammering the walls
Beyond all repair
It hurt to look
It hurt to hear
The fallen pieces
The shattering sounds
Of broken hopes and fears
Battered to the ground
So I…

So I just blew up the house
With both of us inside
With both of us inside
With both of us inside
And while you live to tell about it
I just died
But
Oh there’s a bitter but
My sweet, honey, love
Was winding, was binding
Delusions you bred
In me, that was blinding
The thoughts in my head
The mess that you left
The tales that were told
Had I you bereft
Then stunned you’ll behold
I rise
From dead grey ashes
I rise
No haunting, no taunting
Your guilt does that part
I smile at you daunting
The core of your heart
Have seen through your veils
The one that belies
Go take to your heels
You’re free to despise
I rise
To break free from your lies
I rise
From those very dead grey ashes
I rise.
