NOC pays Rs 2 billion debt to govt

KATHMANDU, April 1: Nepal Oil Cooperation (NOC) has paid back Rs 2 billion of the debt that it owes to the government. With this total debt that NOC owes to government has been reduced to Rs 7.64 billion.

It was almost two weeks before that the debt-ridden NOC had cleared Rs 3 billion debt to the government out of Rs 12 billion.The NOC which once had more than 30 billion debt with the government and different financial institutions has recovered drastically after all price came down significantly in recent years.

"We have paid Rs 2 billion of debt to the government," NOC Chief Gopal Khadka added," We are working on easing fuel supply too."
